前記他車両(B)の走行情報から、当該他車両(B)が前記接続道路を前記特定交差点に進入する方向に走行しているかどうかを検出する他車両検出手段(2)と、
前記他車両検出手段(2)により前記特定交差点に進入する方向に走行している他車両(B)が検出された場合に、当該他車両(B)と自車両(A)との衝突の虞を判定する判定手段(2)と、
前記判定手段(2)により衝突の虞があると判定されたときにその衝突の回避のための処理を実行する支援手段(2)とを備えることを特徴とする運転支援装置。 - 前記他車両情報取得手段は、周辺の他車両との間で車車間通信を行う通信手段を含み、前記他車両の走行情報として少なくとも位置情報を取得することを特徴とする請求項1記載の運転支援装置。
- 前記他車両検出手段は、前記接続道路の近傍に位置する他車両に対し、ポリゴンの設定により内外判定を行うスクリーニング処理を行い、前記ポリゴンの内側と判断された他車両について、当該接続道路を走行しているかどうかの判断を行うことを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の運転支援装置。
- 前記判定手段は、前記特定交差点部分に設定される基準位置までの距離と車両の速度とに基づいて、自車両及び他車両が前記基準位置に到達するタイミングを計算することにより、衝突の虞を判定することを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の運転支援装置。
- 前記判定手段は、前記接続道路の幅員又は制限速度の情報を考慮して前記他車両の速度を設定することを特徴とする請求項4記載の運転支援装置。
- 前記判定手段は、前記特定交差点における道路の接続形態を考慮して前記基準位置を設定することを特徴とする請求項4又は5記載の運転支援装置。
- 前記判定手段は、衝突の虞を判定するにあたり、自車両及び他車両が走行している道路のレーン情報を考慮することを特徴とする請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の運転支援装置。
- 前記支援手段は、複数種類の支援処理のなかから、自車両の前記特定交差点までの距離に応じた支援処理を実行することを特徴とする請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の運転支援装置。
- 前記支援手段が実行する衝突の回避のための処理には、衝突の虞のある他車両に対する通知を含むことを特徴とする請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の運転支援装置。
