Abstract

本開示は、ライナーをベースにした保管及び分配システムに関する。より具体的には、本開示は、実質的に剛性のコンテナ、折り畳み可能なライナー、フレキシブルな襠付きまたは襠無しライナー、およびこれらの製造方法に関する。本開示はまた、ライナーにおけるチョークオフを抑制する方法に関する。
多くの製造工程は、例えば、酸、溶剤、基剤、フォトレジスト、スラリー、清浄調合物、ドーパント、無機物、有機物、金属有機物、生物液剤、調合薬、及び放射性化学薬品等の超高純度液体の使用を必要とする。そのような適用は、超高純度液体における粒子の数及びサイズの最小化を必要とする。具体的には、超高純度液体がマイクロエレクトロニクス製造工程の多くの局面で使用されるため、半導体メーカーは、プロセス化学薬品及び化学的操作機器用に厳密な粒子濃度仕様を確立した。製造工程中に使用された液体がハイレベルの粒子または気泡を含んでいるのであれば、粒子または気泡はシリコンの固体表面上に堆積する可能性があるので、そのような仕様は必要である。言い換えると、粒子または気泡は、製品欠損、品質低下、及び信頼性低下につながり得る。

本開示のライナーは、多くの有利な形状をとり得る。図3に見えるように、1つの実施形態では、剛性で折り畳み可能なライナー320は、ライナーの底部が、丸みを帯びているか、またはボウル形状322となるように構成されてもよい。そのような実施形態では、丸みの程度は様々であってもよい。いくつかの実施形態においては、ライナー320がさらに自立するように底面を丸くしてもよい。さらに別の実施形態では、丸みは、ライナーが、好ましくは、外容器、オーバーパック、またはスリーブとともに使用され得るような程度であってもよい。底面の丸みは、例えば、浸漬管をライナーの底部に適切に向けるのを補助し得るので、丸い底部を有するライナーの実施形態は、例えば、ポンプ分配用途等において化学的利用の向上に役立ち得る。そのような実施形態は、例えば不透明なライナーの場合に特に有用となる可能性があり、化学的利用及び浸漬管の位置合わせも向上する可能性がある。
<フレキシブルな襠付きライナー及び襠無し無しライナー> 上述したように、本開示は、フレキシブルな襠付き、または襠無しライナーにも関連しており、このライナーはサイズの拡大縮小が可能であり、200L以上の保管用に使用され得る。したがって、ライナーは、例えばフラットパネルディスプレイ産業に使用される高純度液体の保管に適し得る。
本開示のいくつかの実施形態では、フレキシブルな襠付きまたは襠無しライナーは、ライナー壁の厚さ、ライナーに使用される材料、及び任意の襠付き縁部のデザインに応じて、90%を超える分配能力、望ましくは、97%を超える分配能力、さらに望ましくは、最大99.9%の分配能力を得ることが可能である。
<チョークオフ> 上述したように、チョークオフとは、一般的に、ライナーが締まり、最終的にライナー自体またはライナーの内部構造がつぶれて、かなりの量の液体よりも上に位置するチョーク位置が形成されるときに生じるものとして記載され得る。チョークオフが生じると、ライナー内に配置された液体の完全な利用が阻害される。例えばマイクロ電子デバイス製品の製造等のような工業プロセスで利用される特殊な化学試薬は非常に高価となり得るため、液体の完全な利用が阻害されることは著しい問題である。チョークオフを防止または処置する様々な方法が、2008年1月30日を国際出願日とし、“Prevention Of Liner Choke−off In Liner−based Pressure Dispensation System”と題されたPCT出願第PCT/US08/52506号に記載されており、ここで、その全体が参照によって本明細書に援用される。チョークオフ防止手段のいくつかのさらなるシステム及び方法が本明細書に提供されている。いくつかのチョークオフシステム及び方法は、剛性で折り畳み可能なライナーに適用してもよい一方、他の方法は、フレキシブルライナーに適用してもよく、またさらに他の方法は、本明細書に開示された任意の種類のライナー、またはさもなければ周知技術に適用してもよい。
