Abstract
【解決手段】用紙冷却部50から送り出された用紙Pは、U字状の搬送ガイド部材61により搬送方向が下向きにUターンされて、用紙冷却部50の下側に配置した反転搬送部60に搬送案内される。用紙Pは、反転搬送部60のU字状の反転ガイド部材63によって反転されて、作像ユニット10よりも上流位置において主搬送部40へと送り出される。

Claims (5)
- 用紙の両面に画像を形成可能な画像形成装置において、
主搬送経路に沿って用紙を搬送する主搬送部と、
前記主搬送部により搬送される用紙に画像を形成する画像形成部と、
前記画像形成部により画像が形成された用紙を冷却する用紙冷却部と、
反転搬送経路に沿って用紙を搬送し、用紙の表裏を反転させる反転搬送部と、を備え、
前記反転搬送部を、前記用紙冷却部の下側に配置し、前記用紙冷却部から送り出された用紙を、U字状の搬送ガイド部材により当該反転搬送部へ搬送案内するようにしたことを特徴とする画像形成装置。 - 前記U字状の搬送ガイド部材により、前記用紙をその画像面が下向きとなるように前記反転搬送部へ送り出すようにしたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の画像形成装置。
- 前記反転搬送部は、U字状の反転ガイド部材により前記用紙を反転して、これをスイッチバックして前記主搬送部へ送り出すスイッチバック方式の反転機構を備えたことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の画像形成装置。
- 前記反転搬送部は、U字状の反転ガイド部材により前記U字状の搬送ガイド部材の用紙送り出し方向と直交する方向に前記用紙を反転して、これを前記主搬送部へ送り出すセイムエッジ方式の反転機構を備えたことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の画像形成装置。
- 前記用紙冷却部は、用紙を挟んで搬送する一対の無端ベルトと、
少なくとも一方の無端ベルトの内側に摺接して配置された冷却器と、
前記一方の無端ベルトの内側に一側方向から冷却用空気を導入させる冷却ファンと、を備え、
前記U字状の反転ガイド部材の配設位置を、前記用紙冷却部の冷却用空気の導入側に設定したことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の画像形成装置。
