Abstract
【解決手段】液晶表示装置のアレイ基板10において、ゲート配線とシール材40の外側の領域に形成された接続端子16とを接続するゲート引き出し配線2a上を、第1の絶縁膜3を介して覆い形成される導電膜90と、少なくともシール材40の外側の領域において導電膜90を覆い形成される第2の絶縁膜7とを有し、導電膜90は対向電極の電位が印加される。

はじめに、本発明の液晶表示装置の構成を簡単に説明する。図1は、実施の形態1の液晶表示装置を模式的に示す平面図である

Claims (10)
- 表示領域を有するアレイ基板と、
前記表示領域を囲み形成されるシール材と、
前記シール材に囲まれる領域に封止される液晶を介して、前記アレイ基板と対向して配置される対向基板とを有し、
前記アレイ基板において、
前記表示領域に配置される複数のゲート配線と複数のソース配線の各交差部に対応して形成される薄膜トランジスタと、
前記薄膜トランジスタに接続される画素電極と、
前記画素電極に対向して形成される対向電極と、
前記ゲート配線と前記シール材の外側の領域に形成された接続端子とを接続するゲート引き出し配線と、
前記ゲート引き出し配線上を、第1の絶縁膜を介して覆い形成される導電膜と、
少なくとも前記シール材の外側の領域において、前記導電膜を覆い形成される第2の絶縁膜と、を有し、
前記導電膜は、前記対向電極の電位が印加されることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 前記導電膜は、第1の導電膜と第2の導電膜とを有し、
前記第1の導電膜は、少なくとも前記シール材の外側の領域において、前記第2の絶縁膜より下層に形成され、
前記第2の導電膜は、少なくとも前記シール材の内側の領域において、前記第2の絶縁膜より上層に形成され、前記シール材の外側の領域には形成されず、
前記第1の導電膜と前記第2の導電膜の境界部は、重なり部分を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記第1の導電膜は、前記ソース配線と同一層からなり、
前記第2の導電膜は、前記画素電極又は前記対向電極の上層側にある層と同一層からなることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記第1の導電膜は、前記画素電極又は前記対向電極の下層側にある層と同一層からなり、
前記第2の導電膜は、前記画素電極又は前記対向電極の上層側にある層と同一層からなることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記第1の導電膜と前記第2の導電膜とは、前記シール材の領域、又は前記シール材より内側の領域で接続されることを特徴とする請求項2乃至請求項4のいずれかに記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記導電膜は、前記シール材の外側の領域において、平面視で、前記ゲート引き出し配線側の前記対向基板の端部の位置以上に前記接続端子側に延在して形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項5のいずれかに記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記導電膜は、少なくとも不透明導電膜を有し、前記不透明導電膜の領域に対向する前記対向基板上のブラックマトリクスが形成されていない領域を有することを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項6のいずれかに記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記導電膜は、前記ゲート引き出し配線上でない領域において、開口部が設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項7のいずれかに記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記導電膜は、前記ゲート引き出し配線上の前記シール材の領域において、全て前記第2の絶縁膜により覆われていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項8のいずれかに記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記導電膜は、前記ゲート引き出し配線側の前記表示領域の端部近傍において、前記対向電極を延在した同一層と接続されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項9のいずれかに記載の液晶表示装置。
