Abstract
Description
Claims (33)
- 汚染防止装置内に汚染防止要素を実装する多層マットであって、
第1層の少なくとも1つの横方向縁部に接触する前記汚染防止装置を通過する(i)排ガスの影響により生じる機械的侵食力と、(ii)排ガスに伴う高温、との少なくとも1つへの暴露からの保護を必要とする前記第1層の少なくとも1つの横方向縁部を有し、暴露された主表面及び対向する前記横方向縁部により画定された幅を有する少なくとも1つの第1層と、
第2層の少なくとも1つの横方向縁部に接触する前記汚染防止装置を通過する(i)排ガスの影響により生じる機械的侵食力と、(ii)排ガスに伴う高温、との少なくとも1つへの曝露に耐えるよう十分に弾力的で耐久力のある前記第2層の少なくとも1つの横方向縁部を有し、前記第1層の幅より大きい対向する横方向縁部により画定された幅を有する少なくとも1つの第2層とを備え、
前記第1層の前記少なくとも1つの横方向縁部が前記第2層の前記対向する横方向縁部間に位置決めされるように、前記第1層及び前記第2層は、一方が他方の上部に積み重ねられ、前記多層マットが前記汚染防止装置内に実装される際、前記第2層の前記少なくとも1つの横方向縁部が、前記第1層の前記少なくとも1つの横方向縁部を前記汚染防止装置を通過する排気ガスへの暴露から保護する、多層マット。 - 前記第1層の両横方向縁部が、(i)前記排ガスの前記影響により生じる機械的侵食力と、(ii)前記排ガスに伴う高温、との少なくとも1つへの曝露からの保護を必要とする、請求項1に記載の多層マット。
- 前記多層マットが前記汚染防止装置内に実装される際、前記第1層の両横方向縁部が前記汚染防止装置を通過する排気ガスへの暴露から保護されるように、前記第1層の両横方向縁部が、前記第2層の前記対向する横方向縁部間に位置決めされる、請求項1に記載の多層マット。
- 前記第1層の前記少なくとも1つの横方向縁部が、前記汚染防止装置の最高操作温度への暴露から保護を必要とし、前記第2層の前記少なくとも1つの横方向縁部が、前記汚染防止装置の最高操作温度への曝露に耐えるよう十分に弾力的で耐久力のある、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の多層マット。
- 前記第1層及び第2層が一緒に接合される、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の多層マット。
- 前記少なくとも1つの第1層が少なくとも2つの第1層であるか、あるいは、前記少なくとも1つの第2層が少なくとも2つの第2層であり、又は、前記少なくとも1つの第1層が少なくとも2つの第1層であり、かつ、前記少なくとも1つの第2層が少なくとも2つの第2層である、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の多層マット。
- 前記少なくとも1つの第1層及び前記少なくとも1つの第2層それぞれが、非膨張性層を含む、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の多層マット。
- 前記少なくとも1つの第1層及び前記少なくとも1つの第2層それぞれが、膨張性層を含む、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の多層マット。
- 前記少なくとも1つの第1層が非膨張性層であり、前記少なくとも1つの第2層が膨張性層である、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の多層マット。
- 前記少なくとも1つの第1層が膨張性層であり、前記少なくとも1つの第2層が非膨張性層である、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の多層マット。
- 前記少なくとも2つの第1層それぞれの幅が異なり、前記少なくとも2つの第2層それぞれの幅が異なり、前記各第1層の幅が前記各第2層の幅より狭い、請求項6に記載の多層マット。
- 前記少なくとも1つの第1層及び前記少なくとも1つの第2層が、前記少なくとも1つの第1層の両横方向縁部が前記少なくとも1つの第2層の前記横方向縁部間内に位置決めされるように互いに関連して配置される、請求項1から11のいずれか一項に記載の多層マット。
- 前記少なくとも1つの第1層及び前記少なくとも1つの第2層が、前記少なくとも1つの第1層の前記横方向縁部の1つが前記少なくとも1つの第2層の前記横方向縁部の1つと一列に並び、前記少なくとも1つの第1層のもう一方の横方向縁部だけが前記少なくとも1つの第2層の前記横方向縁部間内に置かれるように互いに関連して配置される、請求項1から11のいずれか一項に記載の多層マット。
- 前記少なくとも1つの第1層の1つの横方向縁部のそばに位置決めされる1つ以上の層のストリップを更に含み、前記ストリップの幅が前記少なくとも1つの第1層の幅より狭い、請求項1から13のいずれか一項に記載の多層マット。
- 前記ストリップと前記第1層を組合せた幅が、合わさって前記第2層の幅に実質的に等しい、請求項14に記載の多層マット。
- 1つの前記ストリップが、前記少なくとも1つの第1層のそれぞれの横方向縁部のそばに配置される状態で1つ以上の層の他のストリップを更に含み、各前記ストリップの幅が前記少なくとも1つの第1層の幅より狭い、請求項14に記載の多層マット。
- 前記ストリップ類と前記第1層の両方を組合せた幅が、合わさって前記第2層の幅に実質的に等しい、請求項16に記載の多層マット。
- 前記ストリップ及び前記少なくとも1つの第1層のそれぞれが、実質的に同一平面上にある、請求項14から17のいずれか一項に記載の多層マット。
- それぞれの前記ストリップが、前記少なくとも1つの第1層の長さと実質的に等しい長さを有する、請求項14から18のいずれか一項に記載の多層マット。
- それぞれの前記ストリップが、前記第2層より弾力的である、請求項14から19のいずれか一項に記載の多層マット。
- 前記第2層が、いずれの前記ストリップより弾力的である、請求項14から19のいずれか一項に記載の多層マット。
- 汚染防止装置であって、
内壁を有するハウジングと、
前記ハウジング間に間隙を形成するように前記ハウジング内に配置される汚染防止要素と、
請求項1から13のいずれか一項に記載のような多層マット、とを備え、
前記マットが、前記汚染防止要素を前記ハウジング内に実装するよう前記間隙内に配置される、汚染防止装置。 - 前記ハウジングの前記内壁の部分が凹部を画定し、前記マットが前記第1層だけの少なくとも一部を前記凹部内に受容するように位置決めされる、請求項22に記載の汚染防止装置。
- 前記ハウジングの前記内壁の部分が凹部を画定し、前記マットが前記第1層の少なくとも一部を前記凹部内に受容するように位置決めされ、前記第1層のいずれの横方向縁部も前記汚染防止装置を通過する排気ガスに暴露されない、請求項22に記載の汚染防止装置。
- 前記ハウジングの前記内壁の部分が凹部を画定し、前記マットが前記第1層を前記凹部内に受容するように位置決めされ、前記第1層の1つの横方向縁部が前記汚染防止装置を通過する排気ガスに暴露される、請求項22に記載の汚染防止装置。
- 汚染防止装置であって、
内壁を有するハウジングと、
前記ハウジング間に間隙を形成するように前記ハウジング内に配置される汚染防止要素と、
請求項14から21のいずれか一項に記載のような多層マット、とを備え、前記マットが、前記汚染防止要素を前記ハウジング内に実装するように前記間隙内に配置される、汚染防止装置。 - 前記ハウジングの前記内壁の部分が凹部を画定し、前記第1層が前記凹部内に受容され前記汚染防止装置を通過する排気ガスに暴露されないように前記マットが位置決めされ、1つの前記ストリップが、前記汚染防止装置を通過する排気ガスに暴露される、請求項26に記載の汚染防止装置。
- 前記第2層が、前記汚染防止要素に隣接して配置される、請求項22から27のいずれか一項に記載の汚染防止装置。
- 前記第2層が前記汚染防止要素と接触する、請求項28に記載の汚染防止装置。
- 前記第1層が、前記ハウジングの前記内壁に隣接して配置される、請求項22から29のいずれか一項に記載の汚染防止装置。
- 前記第1層の前記横方向縁部の少なくとも1つが、前記汚染防止装置を通過する排気ガスへの暴露から実質的に密封される、請求項22から30のいずれか一項に記載の汚染防止装置。
- 前記装置が、触媒コンバータ又は排気系フィルタである、請求項22から31のいずれか一項に記載の汚染防止装置。
- 内燃機関の排気システムであって、請求項22から32のいずれか一項に記載の汚染防止装置を備える、排気システム。
