Claims (8)
- 50から95質量%量のチタン酸アルミニウムの結晶相、および
5から50質量%の量のガラス相であって、そのガラスが、酸化物基準の質量パーセントで、50〜90%のSiO2、1〜25%のAl2O3、0.5〜10%のTiO2、Rが、Li,Na,K,Ru,CsおよびFrからなる群より選択される0.5〜20%のR2O、およびR’が、Be,Mg,Ca,BaおよびRaからなる群より選択される0.5〜20%のR’Oを含むアルミノケイ酸塩であるガラス相、
を含み、2質量%以下のFe2O3を含むセラミック体。 - 40質量%までの量のムライトの第2の結晶相を含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載のセラミック体。
- 前記アルミノケイ酸塩のガラスが、70〜80%のSiO2、15〜22%のAl2O3、1〜3%のTiO2、0.5〜5%のNa2O、0.5〜5%のCaO、および0.5〜5%のK2Oから実質的になる組成を有することを特徴とする請求項1記載のセラミック体。
- 前記アルミノケイ酸塩のガラスが、50〜70%のSiO2、10〜20%のAl2O3、5〜20%のNa2O、および5〜20%のK2Oから実質的になる組成を有することを特徴とする請求項1記載のセラミック体。
- 前記セラミック体が、10分間での200℃から1100℃への加熱と、同じ時間での1100℃から200℃への冷却の少なくとも200サイクルを経験した後に、0.5%未満の、線形寸法成長により特徴付けられる低い熱サイクル成長を有することを特徴とする請求項1記載のセラミック体。
- 20×10-7/℃未満の熱膨張係数(室温〜1000℃)を有することを特徴とする請求項1記載のセラミック体。
- 前記セラミック体が、15×10-7/℃未満の熱膨張係数(室温〜1000℃)、40体積%から55体積%の気孔率、および5から20マイクロメートルのメジアン細孔サイズを有するディーゼル微粒子フィルタを構成することを特徴とする請求項1記載のセラミック体。
- チタン酸アルミニウムベースのセラミック体を製造する方法において、
シリカ、アルミナ、チタニア、アルカリ金属、アルカリ土類金属の供給源、および必要に応じての細孔形成体を含む原料のバッチを配合する工程、
前記バッチを、滑剤、結合剤、可塑剤を含む加工助剤、および溶媒としての水を混合して、均質な可塑化混合物を調製する工程、
前記均質な可塑化混合物を未焼成体に成形する工程、および
前記未焼成体を必要に応じて乾燥させ、次いで、必要に応じて、第2の結晶相として40質量%までのムライトを含む、50から95質量%の量のチタン酸アルミニウムの結晶相、および5から50質量%の量のガラス相を有するセラミック体であって、前記ガラスが、酸化物基準の質量パーセントで、50〜90%のSiO2、1〜25%のAl2O3、0.5〜10%のTiO2、Rが、Li,Na,K,Ru,CsおよびFrからなる群より選択される0.5〜20%のR2O、およびR’が、Be,Mg,Ca,BaおよびRaからなる群より選択される0.5〜20%のR’Oを含むアルミノケイ酸塩であり、2質量%以下のFe2O3を含むセラミック体を生成する工程、
を有してなる方法。
