Abstract
【解決手段】液晶表示パネルLDPと、液晶表示パネルLDPを照明する面光源装置BLと、液晶表示パネルLDPと面光源装置BLとを駆動する駆動部SD、GD、LDと、駆動部SD、GD、LDを制御する制御部CNTとを有する液晶表示装置であって、液晶表示パネルLDPは、複数の表示画素PXを有し、面光源装置BLは、1フレーム期間において順次点灯する複数種類の光源LSを有し、制御部CNTは、1フレーム期間内で複数種類の光源LSのいずれかが点灯する期間において、映像信号書込みと、映像信号書込み後に行われるリセット信号書込みとを行うように駆動部部SD、GD、LDを制御する手段を有し、映像信号書込みとリセット信号書込みとは同極性であって、フレーム期間とフレーム期間との間で、複数の表示画素PXの電位の極性が反転する液晶表示装置。

Claims (10)
- 一対の基板および前記一対の基板間に挟持された液晶層を有する液晶表示パネルと、前記液晶表示パネルを照明する面光源装置と、前記液晶表示パネルと前記面光源装置とを駆動する駆動部と、前記駆動部を制御する制御部とを有する液晶表示装置であって、
前記液晶表示パネルは、マトリクス状に配置された複数の表示画素を有し、
前記面光源装置は、1フレーム期間において順次点灯する複数種類の光源を有し、
前記制御部は、1フレーム期間内で前記複数種類の光源のいずれかが点灯する期間において、前記複数の表示画素に映像信号を書込む映像信号書込みと、前記映像信号書込み後に行われる前記複数の表示画素にリセット信号を書込むリセット信号書込みとを行うように前記駆動部を制御する手段を有し、
前記映像信号書込みと、前記リセット信号書込みとは同極性であって、フレーム期間とフレーム期間との間で前記複数の表示画素の電位の極性が反転する液晶表示装置。 - 前記制御部は、フレーム期間とフレーム期間との間で、前記複数の表示画素に極性反転信号を書込むように前記駆動部を制御する手段をさらに有する液晶表示装置。
- 前記極性反転信号は、黒表示に対応した電圧信号である請求項1記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記制御部は、前記極性反転信号を前記複数の表示画素に一括書込みするように前記駆動部を制御する手段をさらに有する請求項1記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記1フレーム期間は、前記複数種類の光源のそれぞれが点灯する複数のサブフレーム期間を有し、
前記1フレーム期間内で、サブフレーム期間とサブフレーム期間との間で前記複数の表示画素の電位の極性が反転する請求項1記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記制御部は、サブフレーム期間とサブフレーム期間との間で、前記駆動部が前記複数の表示画素に極性反転信号を書込むように制御する手段をさらに有している請求項5記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記液晶層は、OCB液晶を含み、
前記リセット信号は、黒表示に対応した電圧信号である請求項1記載の液晶表示装置。 - 一対の基板および前記一対の基板間に挟持された液晶層を有する液晶表示パネルと、前記液晶表示パネルを照明する面光源装置と、前記液晶表示パネルと前記面光源装置とを駆動する駆動部と、前記駆動部を制御する制御部とを有し、前記液晶表示パネルは、マトリクス状に配置された複数の表示画素を有する液晶表示装置であって、
前記制御部は、1フレーム期間において前記面光源装置の複数種類の光源を順次点灯させ、
前記駆動部を制御して、1フレーム期間内で前記複数種類の光源のいずれかが点灯する期間において、前記複数の表示画素に映像信号を書込む映像信号書込みと、前記映像信号書込み後に行われる前記複数の表示画素にリセット信号を書込むリセット信号書込みとを同極性で行わせ、
フレーム期間とフレーム期間との間で、前記複数の表示画素の電位の極性を反転させる液晶表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記制御部は、フレーム期間とフレーム期間との間で前記複数の表示画素に極性反転信号を書込むように前記駆動部を制御する液晶表示装置の駆動方法。
- 前記制御部は、前記1フレーム期間を前記複数種類の光源のそれぞれが点灯する複数のサブフレーム期間に分割し、
前記駆動部を制御して、サブフレーム期間とサブフレーム期間との間で、前記複数の表示画素の電位を反転させる請求項8記載の液晶表示装置の駆動方法。
