Abstract
【解決手段】燃料電池スタックは、複数の燃料電池アセンブリ(10)を備え、各燃料電池アセンブリ(10)は、アノード層(14)と、カソード層(16)と、アノード層(14)とカソード層(16)の間に挿入された電解質(18)とを備える燃料電池(12)を含む。燃料電池アセンブリ(10)はさらに、アノードインターコネクト(20)およびカソードインターコネクト(26)を備え、アノードインターコネクト(20)は、接合剤(32)ならびに各燃料電池(12)のアノード層(14)上の流路を封止するのに使用される封止剤(34)を用いて、アノード層(14)に堅固に取り付けることができる。

Claims (10)
- 燃料電池アセンブリ(10)を製造する方法であって、
少なくともカソードインターコネクト(26)を燃料電池(12)のカソード層(16)と封止するステップであって、前記燃料電池(12)が前記カソード層(16)、電解質(18)、およびアノード層(14)を備えるステップと、
還元ガス(24)を用いて前記アノード層(14)を還元するステップと、
封止剤(34)を用いて前記アノード層(14)をアノードインターコネクト(20)と接合して、燃料電池アセンブリ(10)を形成するステップとを含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記アノード層(14)を前記アノードインターコネクト(20)と接合する前に、前記燃料電池アセンブリ(10)を加熱するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記還元ガス(24)を用いて前記アノード層(14)を還元するステップが、前記アノード層(14)を前記アノードインターコネクト(20)と接合する前に行われることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記還元ガス(24)を用いて前記アノード層(14)を還元するステップおよび前記アノード層(14)を前記アノードインターコネクト(20)と接合するステップが、実質上同時に実施されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記燃料電池アセンブリ(10)を欠陥があるかどうか試験および検査するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記燃料電池アセンブリ(10)を試験および検査するステップが、漏れ試験、抵抗測定試験、インピーダンス測定試験、機械的完全性試験、超音波試験、X線試験、赤外線映像試験、開回路電圧の測定、インピーダンス分光法、または電気化学的性能試験、あるいはそれらの組合せを実施するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項5記載の方法。
- 前記アノード層(14)を還元する前に、複数の燃料電池アセンブリ(10)を積層して、擬似スタック(38)を形成するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記還元ガス(24)を用いて前記擬似スタック(38)中の各燃料電池アセンブリ(10)の前記アノード層(14)を還元するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項7記載の方法。
- 前記擬似スタック(38)中の前記燃料電池(12)のそれぞれを、前記アノードインターコネクト(20)または前記カソードインターコネクト(26)に封止するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項7記載の方法。
- 前記擬似スタック(38)中の前記個々の燃料電池(12)を欠陥があるかどうか試験および検査するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項7記載の方法。
