Abstract
Description
製品ガス成分(A及びB)の回収を効率的に高めることができ、かつバッファ工程を行うのに必要なバッファガスの量を減らすことができる。さらに、この発明の方法のいくつかの実施態様の後続の供給又はパージ工程の開始時に排出されるバッファガス流れの再利用により、製品ガス流れ(製品成分A又はBを含有する)中に分配される、バッファ工程後に吸着器内に残留する残留バッファガスの低減が可能となり、これにより製品ガス流れの純度が向上し、製品ガス成分が下流のシステム又はプロセスで再利用される場合のバッファガス成分の累積が低減される。
置換パージ再生を有する回転式吸着モジュールを、図1〜4とともに以下に説明する。ここで用いる「回転式吸着モジュール」は、吸着器の列が固定されたバルブ面若しくはステーターに対して回転する装置、又はバルブ面若しくはステーターが吸着器の列に対して回転する装置のいずれかを含むものであるが、これに限定されない。図示の実施態様は、ローターに装着された吸着器を有し、固定されたバルブ面を有するステーターであるハウジング内にこのローターがある。
図5は、第1バッファパージガスとして置換パージガスを、第2バッファガスとして供給又は第1ガス混合物を用いる実施態様の第1及び第2ステーターバルブ面100及び101を示す。図5、図7及び図9において、第1及び第2ステーターバルブ面は、断面矢印14´−17´により示される一方向から見たものであり、第1ステーターバルブ面は背面から見たものであり、第2バルブ面は前面から見たものである。図6は、吸着器を流れる流れパターンを示しており、軸線7の回りに0°〜360°の角度範囲を含む周方向断面である。図6、8及び10において、吸着器3を横断する破線は、ガス混合物A及びB、B及びC、並びに成分A及びCの間の濃度前線を示している。具体的には、破線175は、サイクル中の二酸化濃度濃度前線の移動を示している。
図7は、再循環燃料ガスを第1及び第2バッファパージガスとした実施態様の第1ステーターバルブ面100及び第2ステーターバルブ面101を示しており、この燃料ガスは、バッファパージガスの燃焼により得られるものであるから、非結合の成分Cが第1バッファパージガスから除去され、非結合の成分Aが第2バッファパージガスから除去される。図8は、吸着器を通る流れのパターンを、軸線7を中心として0〜360°の角範囲を含む周方向断面で示している。

Claims (5)
- 原料ガス混合物の第1成分を第2成分から分離する置換パージガス分離装置において、第2成分の方が吸着材料に吸着されやすく、該分離装置が、
第1及び第2の端部を有する複数の吸着器であって、各吸着器が吸着材料を具え、かつ第1の端部と第2の端部の間に吸着材料と接触した流路を画定する吸着器と、
吸着器の第1及び第2の端部と液連結し、吸着器の第1及び第2端部からガスを供給及び回収する少なくとも1個のバルブ手段と、
バルブ手段を介して吸着器に原料ガスを供給する原料ガス供給手段と、

第2成分及びパージガスを含むが、第1成分を実質的に消耗したパージ排出ガスを、バルブ手段を介して吸着器から回収する排出ガス回収手段とを具えることを特徴とする置換パージガス分離装置。 - 原料ガス混合物の第1成分を第2成分から分離する置換パージ回転式吸着モジュールにおいて、第2成分の方が吸着材料に吸着されやすく、該モジュールが、
第1及び第2の端部を有する複数の吸着器であって、各吸着器が吸着材料を具え、かつ第1の端部と第2の端部の間に吸着材料と接触した流路を画定する吸着器と、
吸着器の第1及び第2の端部と液連結し、軸の回りを相対的に回転可能なステーター及びローターを有する少なくとも1個の回転式分配バルブと、
ローターを回転する駆動手段と、
回転式分配バルブを介して吸着器に原料ガスを供給する原料ガス供給手段と、
吸着された第2成分ガスを吸着材料から脱着する目的で、回転式分配バルブを介して吸着器にパージガスを供給するパージガス供給手段と、
回転式分配バルブを介して、第1成分が富化された製品ガスを吸着器から回収する製品ガス回収手段と、
第2成分及びパージガスを含むが、第1成分を実質的に消耗したパージ排出ガスを、回転式分配バルブを介して吸着器から回収する排出ガス回収手段とを具えることを特徴とする置換パージ回転式吸着モジュール。 - 原料ガス混合物の第1成分を第2成分から分離する置換パージ回転式吸着モジュールにおいて、第2成分の方が吸着材料に吸着されやすく、該モジュールが、
回転式分配バルブを相互に画定するローター及びステーターを具え、
該ローターが、第1及び第2の端部を有する複数の吸着器であって、各吸着器が吸着材料を具え、かつ第1の端部と第2の端部の間に吸着材料と接触した流路を画定する吸着器と、吸着器の第1の端部と液連結した第1ローターバルブ面と、吸着器の第2の端部と液連結した第2ローターバルブ面とを具え、
該ステーターが、第1ローターバルブ面と相対的に回転可能に連通した第1ステーターバルブ面と、第2ローターバルブ面と相対的に回転可能に連通した第2ステーターバルブ面と、ステーターバルブ面に開口する複数の機能区画とを具え、
該機能区画が、原料ガス混合物を、ステーターバルブ面及びローターバルブ面を介して吸着器に供給する原料ガス機能区画と、パージガスを、ステーターバルブ面及びローターバルブ面を介して吸着器に供給するパージガス機能区画と、バッファガスを、ステーターバルブ面及びローターバルブ面を介して吸着器に供給するバッファガス機能区画とを具えることを特徴とする置換パージ回転式吸着モジュール。 - 原料ガス混合物の第1成分を第2成分から分離する置換パージガス分離方法において、第2成分の方が吸着材料に吸着されやすく、該方法が、
複数の吸着器を有する置換パージガス分離装置で、各吸着器が第1の端部と第2の端部の間に吸着材料と接触した流路を有する置換パージガス分離装置を準備し、
少なくとも第1成分及び第2成分を含む原料ガス混合物を第1吸着器の第1端部に供給し、
第1成分が富化された製品ガスを第1吸着器の第2端部から回収し、
実質的に第1成分を含んでいない第1バッファガスを第1吸着器に供給して、第1吸着器の内部空間から残留第1成分を実質的に置換し、
吸着されにくいパージガスを第1吸着器に供給して、吸着材料から吸着された第2成分を実質的に脱着すること含むことを特徴とする置換パージガス分離方法。 - 第1バッファガスを第1吸着器に入れながら、第1成分が富化された製品ガスの第2の部分を第1吸着器の内部空間から回収し、
パージガスを第1吸着器に入れながら、第2吸着器の第1バッファ工程で再利用するために、第1バッファガスを第1吸着器から回収し、
パージガス及び脱着した第2成分を含む排出ガスを第1吸着器から回収し、
実質的にパージガス成分を含まない第2バッファガスを第1吸着器に供給して、第1吸着器の内部空間から残留パージガスを実質的に置換し、
原料ガス混合物を再供給しながら、第2吸着器の第2バッファ工程で再利用するために、第2バッファガスを第1吸着器から回収することをさらに含む、請求項4に記載の方法。
