Abstract
【解決手段】 ロッドインテグレータ36は、その軸方向が光源22からの照明光照射方向に対して所定角度傾くように配置される。光入射面40は、ロッドインテグレータ36の軸方向に対して傾いた斜面にて構成され、入射した光をロッドインテグレータ36の軸方向に屈折させる。光出射面42は、光入射面40と平行に形成され、出射する光を光源22からの照明光照射方向と平行な方向に屈折させる。光源22からの照明光が、光入射面40及び光出射面42にて屈折することにより、照明光路30が折り曲げられる。これにより、構成部材が増加せず、コストを抑えることができる。

を満たすように、ロッドインテグレータ36の配置角度、及び、光入射面40の傾き角度が決定される。また、光出射面42から出射する光が、光源22からの照明光照射方向と平行な方向に出射するように、光出射面42は光入射面40と平行に形成される。

Claims (2)
- 照明光を照射する光源と、前記光源からの照明光を変調して画像光を生成する画像生成部と、前記光源から前記画像生成部へ向かう照明光の照明光路上に、軸方向が前記照明光路と平行になるように配置され、前記光源側の端部に形成された光入射面から入射した照明光を均斉化して、前記画像生成部側の端部に形成された光出射面から出射するロッドインテグレータとを備えた投映型画像表示装置において、
前記光入射面、前記光出射面のうち少なくとも一方を、前記ロッドインテグレータの軸方向に対して傾いた斜面にて構成し、
前記斜面を通過する照明光を屈折させて、前記照明光路を折り曲げることを特徴とする投映型画像表示装置。 - 前記光入射面と前記光出射面とを平行に形成して、前記照明光路を平行にずらすことを特徴とする請求項1記載の投映型画像表示装置。
