さらにカラー調整を行わない印刷おいて、印刷の量が多い時や時間が掛かる際には画像の劣化が考えられる。このような場合には、印刷中にユーザに画像劣化の通知を出す。この時点で、ユーザはカラー調整を行うか、そのまま印刷を続行するかを選択できる(S5)。カラー調整モードを選んだ場合は、通常印刷時と同じようにカラー調整をし、良好な画質を保つようにする。このような制御により、画像劣化による印刷のやり直しをなくし、余計な手間を省き、時間、資源の削減を図ることができる。
