本発明の方法は、上述の新規コーティング材料を所定の基板に塗布することに関する。好適な実施形態によると、この方法はテフロン(商標)又はフレコート(商標)のような離型剤を、合成物を硬化するために使用される工具の表面に塗布する初期工程を有する。その後、この表面上にLCPが、従来のスプレー技術により溶射され、又は薄膜として工具上に配置される。LCPが、0.002〜0.010インチ(5.1×10−5〜2.5×10−4m)の厚さに塗布されることが望ましい。その後、構造部品を形成する複合材積層材料は、コーティングされた工具表面に塗布され、そのまま硬化される。追加の工程として、硬化に先立って、硬化されていない複合材とコーティングされた表面との間に接着剤を塗布してもよい。硬化後、LCPコーティングをその上に備える構造物は、工具から除去され、最終アッセンブリに使用される。
