Abstract

996,782. Agricultural implement. ROTARY HOES Ltd. July 2, 1963 [July 2, 1962], No. 26129/63. Divided out of 994,906. Heading A1B. A rotary cultivator is provided with a power driven rotor 10 with at least one circular row of tools 17 which are tilted laterally to deposit a sod in an inverted position and an ejector plate 21 is provided for each row of tools to detach any sod that sticks to a tool. In case a rock or obstruction is adhering to a tool the plates 21 are mounted on a beam 24 which can be partially rotated against the pressure of a spring 31 which is mounted on a rod 32 attached to a lever 30 which co-operates with a cam surface 35 to move the beam axially, the beam being so mounted that it can move axially against the action of a spring 33. The depth of working of the tools is determined by an adjustable skid.
