Abstract

1,142,038. Agricultural implements. C. VAN DER LELY N.V. 30 Sept., 1966 [20 Oct., 1965], No. 43925/66. Heading A1B. A rotary cultivator comprising blades 5 driven from a tractor power shaft is provided with a hood 7, the forward portion 8 being connected to the frame beam 1 by strips 11. A sheet 13 of rubber is fixed to the portion 8 of the hood and in use of the implement the sheet 13 vibrates and prevents soil adhering to the front portion 8 of the hood. The rear portion 9 of the hood is formed by a number of spring steel rods 10. A wheel 19 which controls the working depth of the blades 5 is controlled by a handle 17. In a modification the portion 8 is spring-mounted and the rubber sheet 13 is omitted.
