[Also in Division F4] A detachable drop-down hinged oven door arrangement comprises a link c, spring-urged inwards of the plane of the oven front 17, on at least one side of the oven supporting structure and incorporating at its lower end 18, a slot 19 which engages a bush or pin 11 in the oven door a, forming an upper supporting pivot means for the door, and in its upper edge, a cam projection 20 together with a slot 21. The link also has a lower cam surface engaging a roller d on the said structure. The arrangement also includes a hinge member 14 fixed at 15, to the said structure, embodying a slot 13 which engages with a bush or pin 12, in the door a, to form a lower supporting pivot means for the door, and a keeper device 22 slidable on the link c and manually engageable with the slot 21, when the door a is in a partially open position, in such a way as to lock the link c in a substantially stationary position when a closing movement is imparted to the door. The locking of the link c enables the bush 12 to be swung clear of slot 13 and the door a to be lifted clear at bush 11, the arrangement being such that removal of the door is only possible within a restricted angular range of 35 degrees to 45 degrees to the horizontal. During replacement of the door an opening movement causes the keeper 22 to be lifted out of the slot 21 due to the engagement of a lower slot in the keeper with the edge 27 of the hinge member 14. Thus the keeper slides down the link and positions itself so as to prevent the movement of the bush 11 out of the slot 19 and hence the removal of the door. The hinge bracket 16 may incorporate a flanged triangular wing section, Fig. 7 (not shown), which prevents anti-clockwise pivoting of the link during the replacement of the door.
