987,888. Thermal switches. BUSCHJAEGER DURENER METALLWERKE A.G. March 2, 1962 [March 18, 1961], No. 8233/62. Heading H2B. A switch-actuating bi-metal strip 3 is mechanically connected to a highly heat-conductive pin 2 projecting into a medium whose temperature is to be controlled. The bi-metal acts on a T-shaped contact spring 7 fixed at 21 and carrying contacts 8, 9, 10 co-operating with separately adjustable contact springs 11, 12, 13. The pin 2 has two steps, one, 2a, to which the strip 3 is secured and the other, 2b, of which is secured to the base 1.
