Abstract

An applicator device adapted to apply a fluid addendum to a moving tow comprises a hollow tubular member having a slot exit orifice, a duct connected to one end of the tubular member for the supply of addendum thereto and a mesh screen positioned exteriorly of the tubular member and over the exit orifice and arranged to maintain the tow out of engagement with the orifice. Embodiments are the same as described in Specification 986,392. Specifications 765,963 and 986,394 also are referred to.
