Abstract

986,285. Hinges. PRESSED STEEL CO. Ltd. July 10, 1963 [July 11, 1962], No. 26672/62. Heading E2F. A hinge for a vehicle door comprises a leaf 13 carrying a threaded hinge pin 17 formed with an end 19 adapted to engage a socket in a complementary leaf (not shown), at least one of the leaves being provided with a hole 16 and one or more slots 23 for fastening bolts so that the leaf can be adjusted angularly about the hole before the bolts are tightened. Preferably adjustment is effected by a self-locking threaded stop 26 screwed into the leaf to abut a fastening bolt 24.
