Abstract
978,826. Bottle containers. HUGH STEPHENSON & SONS Ltd. April 25, 1963 [June 1, 1962], No. 19338/62. Heading B8P. Each layer of article-receiving means in a bottle container is formed of two partitions which both have an equal number of compartments 3 and 5. The partitions are each built up from a blank of double-backed corrugated paper shown in Fig. 1, and the compartments are alternately large 3 and small 5. Due to the difference in height of the walls 2 and 4 of the partitions and also to the walls 2 being of height less than the diameter of the bottles, the layers and bottles may be " nested " together. The bottles in the top layer are protected by the walls 2 and 4 ending above the level of the bottles. In a modification, the two partitions are formed from a single blank and the abutting side walls of adjacent compartments are stapled together. The material used may also be cardboard or fibreboard.
