Container comprising a base and four side walls permitting the stacking of boxes in certain angular positions and nesting in other angular positions. According to the invention, the side walls of the box 1 are formed from slats 3 to 6 which are disposed and separated from one another such that the boxes stack without notable nesting in a position in which the identical sides A, B, C, D are superposed, whilst they nest in one another in each of the three other offset angular positions. The invention applies to containers for the transportation of various objects.
