Abstract

970,317. Plastics containers. CONSOLIDATED THERMOPLASTICS CO. Aug. 11, 1961 [Aug. 29, 1960], No. 29143/61. Heading B8D. A container of plastics material comprises a flexible inner shell 10, of e.g. linear or regular polyethylene and having a peripheral flange 10c below which are lugs 10d and a more rigid outer shell 11 of e.g. polypropylene or linear polyethylene, the shells being so designed that a portion 11a of the outer shell is a snap fit between the lugs 10d and flange 10c of the inner shell. A cover 12 is provided with internal screwthreads 12c to sealingly engage external screwthreads 11b in the outer shell. A continuous rim may replace the lugs 10d.
