Abstract

969,238. Sieve drum driers. FLEISSNER G.m.b.H. Sept. 5, 1961 [Oct. 4, 1960; Oct. 27, 1960], No. 31817/61. Heading F4G. A sieve drum drier for a web of material 5 or for granular material comprises drums 1, 6 having adjustable fans 2, 7, respectively, the fan 2 exerting a greater suction than fan 7, and the air flow from fan 2 being separated into two streams via casing openings 4, one stream passing over a lower heater 15 for direct return to the drum 1 and the other passing over an upper heater 15 for passage through the material and into the adjacent drum 6, from whence it is passed through a single outlet 7 to the drum 1. Cover plates within the drums may have suction nozzles of adjustable size or which are displaceable, formed at their ends to enhance the adhesion of the material to the drums at particular points.
