Abstract

The invention relates to a photographic dye bleach process wherein azo and styryl dyes are used. In a specific example the process is illustrated using a photo-sensitive material containing the cyan dye of formula <FORM:0969134/C4-C5/1> the magenta dye of formula <FORM:0969134/C4-C5/2> in a filter layer, the yellow dye of formula <FORM:0969134/C4-C5/3> and the blue-sensitive dye of formula <FORM:0969134/C4-C5/4> The preparations of the first three are described. In a further example the preparation by the usual coupling procedure of a dye of formula <FORM:0969134/C4-C5/5> is described.
