Abstract
966,012. Induction systems for I.C. engines; starting; regulating. ROBERT BOSCH G.m.b.H. July 12, 1963 [July 13, 1962], No. 27646/63. Headings F1B and F1K. A fuel injection engine having a main air inlet manifold 6 with a throttle valve 8 which closes completely at idling is provided with a separate idling air conduit 13 which is connected by short branches 12 to the inlet manifold branches 3. The main fuel nozzles 4 are situated in the branches 3 and a starting fuel nozzle 17 is situated in the idling conduit 13. The idling conduit is branched from the main air conduit 9 at 14 above the throttle 8 and is provided with a divided portion 14a, 14b containing a manual adjusting valve 15 and an adjusting valve 16 controlled by a thermostat responsive to cooling water temperature. The fuel supply pump is controlled conjointly by the throttle control means and by a centrifugal governor as described in Specification 809,218.
