Abstract

An antistatic textile lubricating oil composition comprises by weight 25-30% of a condensation product of the monolauric ester of glycerol with ethylene oxide, 40 -50% of a lubricating oil (preferably paraffinic), 15-20% of a non-ionic emulsifier and 0-20% of water. The non-ionic emulsifier preferably contains a polyoxyethylene group and may be, for example, the compound known under the name "Emulson OVS," or a mixture thereof with small amounts of polyethylene glycols and/or polypropylene glycols and/or tall oil. In some examples, olein is also present.ALSO:An antistatic textile lubricating oil composition comprises by weight 25-30% of a condensation product of the monolauric ester of glyercol with ethylene oxide, 40-50% of a lubricating oil (preferably paraffinic), 15-20% of a non-ionic emulsifier and 0-20% of water. The non-ionic emulsifier preferably contains a polyoxyethylene group and may be, for example, the compound known under the name "Emubon OVS", or a mixture thereof with small amounts of polyethylene glycols and/or polypropylene glycols and/or tall oil. In some examples, olein is also present. Fibres which are treated are polyamide, polyethyleneterephthalate, polyvinyl, polyacrylic, polypropylene, and polyterephthalic fibres, and also mixed fibres of wool together with either polyamide, polyterephthalate, polyacrylate or rayon.
