958,299. Bird cages. HYGIENIC WIRE WORKS Ltd., J. H. MORGAN, and M. O. ROWLANDS. Feb. 13, 1963 [Nov. 22, 1961], No. 41804/61. Heading A1M. A bird cage comprises an upper wire section 10 which seats on a flange 11a formed on the upper edge of a base 11 of synthetic resinous material, the flange being formed with slots through which project apertured lugs 16 on the upper section 10. Spring loaded bolts 18 engage the lugs to fasten the cage sections together. As described two bolts 22, 23 are provided, their cranked ends being coupled together by a resilient tube 24. The lugs 16 may be formed by extending vertical wires of the section 10 and forming them into a loop. A removable tray 12 is provided in the base 11 and may also be inserted in slots 14 in the upper section 10 to close the cage when the base is removed for cleaning. Feeding bowls as described in Specification 958,301 may be provided. Specification 958,300 also is referred to.
