Abstract
A ceramic glass article is made by forming the article in a glass which is capable of controlled devitrification from a batch containing cadmium-sulpho-selenide as nucleating agent in an amount to give a quantity of the Cd anion which corresponds to 0.5 to 2.0% by weight of the cadmium-sulpho-selenide and heat treating the article to devitrify the glass. The glasses used are those disclosed in Specifications 752,243 and 924,996.
