Abstract
954,513. Fusible cut-outs. PARMITER HOPE & SUGDEN Ltd. Dec. 6, 1962 [Sept. 6, 1961], No. 32018/61. Heading H2G. An electric fuse-link consists of a fusible metal strip 10 with two rows 12 and 14 of closely spaced holes supported on and attached to a plate of mica 16. The strip may be bonded, screwed or crimped on to the mica plate. In Fig. 2 the strip is made of silver or copper and is riveted to the mica plate by rivets 18 and 20 made of soft solder. Alternatively the rivets may be made of copper or brass, coatedwith easily fusible alloy, or supporting washers or discs of easily fusible alloy. In order that the mica plate does not hinder fusing of the strip at its fusing temperature, the portions of the mica plate immediately adjacent the rows of holes 12 and 14 are similarly provided with rows of holes.
