Abstract

908,452. Fusible cut-outs. PARMITER, HOPE & SUGDEN Ltd., and SUGDEN, E. W. April 4, 1961 [April 14, 1960], No. 13524/60. Class 38 (1). A fuse element comprises a strip or layer 20 of fusible metal supported on a member 14 consisting wholly of P.T.F.E. or, as shown, having a supporting surface 16 of P.T.F.E. The element may be made by bonding foil to the P.T.F.E. and etching away unwanted metal, or metal may be vacuum deposited on to the P.T.F.E. Connecting tabs 10, 12 are riveted to the member 14.
