Abstract

943,511. Laminates. FORD MOTOR CO. Ltd. Aug. 30, 1962 [Sept. 14, 1961], No. 33023/61. Heading B5N. A sheet of thermoplastic material 10 reinforced with a textile fabric bears a panel or pattern over a part of one surface of a non- reinforced thermoplastic material 8 which is dielectrioally welded thereto. The non-reinforced thermoplastic material is polyvinyl chloride, and the base sheet 10 is composed of polyvinyl chloride sheet with a reinforcing cotton backing. A polyvinyl chloride foam 9 may be incorporated as a riser being the reinforced and non-reinforced materials, the foam being collapsed along the lines of application of dielectric heat so that a relief pattern is obtained.
