Abstract

940,461. Sliding clasp fasteners. G.DOLTER. Aug. 28, 1961 [Jan. 17, 1961], No. 1910/61. Heading E2S. A sliding clasp fastener comprises fastener elements which are held in a fold of a sheet 10 of a flexible material by means of U-shaped elements 15 and is characterized in that the elements 15 have rivets 16 to secure them to the flexible material. Preferably the rivets also pass through the shanks of the fastener elements. The U-shaped elements are arranged so that the ends of the arms 18 (Fig. 2) lie close together when the fastener is fastened so that if the fastener is put under stress these ends engage one another to resist the stress. Specifications 723,998, 769,535, 769,536 and 769,537 are referred to.
