In a stop for a sliding- clasp fastener of the pin and box type, the pin 1 is formed with an integral flange 4 secured to one or both surfaces of the support tape 2 and extending over a major part or the whole of its width. In modifications one or two further ribs are formed parallel to the flange 4 and integral with the pin 1. The stop may be formed of plastics or metal material.
