Abstract
940,080. Inductor alternators. SIEMENSSCHUCKERTWERKE A.G. Sept. 27, 1961 [Sept. 27, 1960], No. 34784/61. Heading H2A. An A.C. generator has a wound laminated stator 2 mounted on a stationary shaft 1 within a rotor which comprises a number of interdigitated polepieces 6, 7 extending from the left and right hand end walls respectively. In operation exciting windings 3, 4 produce a unidirectional flux in shaft 1 which passes through polepieces 6, radially through stator 2, to polepiece 7 so that, when the rotor is rotated by belt 10, an alternating voltage is generated in output winding 5.
