Abstract

939,732. Endless chain conveyers; overhead conveyers. HERBERT MORRIS Ltd. March 4, 1960, No. 7749/60. Classes 78 (1) and 104 (2). An endless driven chain provided with hangers for supporting loads or with dogs for engaging load supporting trolleys running on a track comprises U-shaped links 10 pivotally connected by pins 11 and by spindles 12 which support rollers 17 running on L-section rails 15 secured together by brackets 16. Guide rollers 18 or balls are mounted in brackets 18a secured to the vertical sides of alternate links 10. Bifurcated load-supporting hangers 21, Figs. 1, 3, are supported on the spindles 12. As shown in Fig. 5, the hangers are replaced by pusher dogs 23 pivoted to the links 10 adjacent the rollers 18 for engagement with load-supporting trolleys 24 which run on rails 15a and which are provided with spindles 25 supporting guide rollers 26.
