Abstract

In an overhead conveyor system of the kind wherein load carrying trolleys are caused to move along a trolley track by virtue of the engagement therewith of pusher dogs which are spaced along and depend from an endless drive chain travelling along a path above the trolley track, the latter has at least one drop section 19, Fig. 2, which is carried by an inverted U-shaped frame 20 straddling the conveyor and having rollers 21 at each side limb for movement on fixed vertical guide tracks 21, whereby the section 19 can be moved downwardly from or upwardly into alignment with the trolley track for unloading or loading a trolley without diverting the endless drive chain The frame 20 is supported by a structure 26 carrying a sprocket wheel 25 engaging an endless drive chain 23 supported by a fixed frame structure 24.
