Abstract

939,442. Inductors. ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA A.B. Dec. 12, 1961 [Dec. 13, 1960], No. 44375/61. Class 38 (2). An inductor for direct current with superimposed alternating current consists of a winding 1 (Figs. 3 and 4) which may be mounted on either a non-magnetic support or on a core leg of laminated plates, and core parts 2, 3 the part 3 nearest the winding being of laminated magnetic material and dimensioned for at least the alternating component of magnetic flux and the part 2 situated outside of the laminated plates away from the winding being of ordinary structural steel or comparable magnetic material and dimensioned for the major part of the direct component of magnetic flux. The laminated portion of the core may be provided with air gaps 5 or 6 and short circuited copper rings 7 may be inserted in the solid part of the core.
