937,473. Pressure relieving devices. BADISCHE ANILIN- & SODA-FABRIK A.G. Oct. 6, 1961 [Oct. 8, 1960], No. 35977/61. Class 135. A fluid pressure relief device comprises a concavo-convex disc 1 having its edge resting on a step of an annular ring 2 and preferably fixed by cement 4 such that the convex side forces the fluid pressure system to be controlled. A flexible foil 5, of precious metal or plastics, is clamped to the ring 2 on the convex side of the disc and is urged by fluid pressure against the disc. When a predetermined pressure is reached, the disc 1 flexes and becomes detached from the step and the foil ruptures, thus relieving the pressure and causing the disc to be blown out. The disc 1 may be provided with apertures so that the device may relieve in the opposite direction.
