Abstract
The invention comprises 2-tertiary aminoalkyl-1,2,6,7- tetrahydroindolo[1.7a.7-a.b]benzo[f]azepines of the general formula <FORM:0936783/IV(a)/1> (wherein R represents a C1-5 alkyl radical, Am represents a dialkylamino group of at most 8 carbon atoms, the alkyl radicals of which may be linked to each other directly, and n is 1, 2 or 3), and the preparation thereof by reducing the corresponding 1-oxo compounds with an alkali metal earth metal hydride. The products, and their acid addition salts, possess antiallergic and spasmolytic activity, and are also suitable for treating certain forms of mental disorder.
