Abstract

935,180. Sheet metal boxes. RYEFIELD ENGINEERING CO. Ltd. April 19, 1962 [July 19, 1961], No. 26125/61. Class 18. A sheet metal box comprises a lug 17 in each corner thereof, said lug having two sides 18, 19 which engage adjacent side members of the box, e.g. 11, 12, respectively and a spigot 20 extending outwardly from each of the sides 18, 19 which engages in an aperture in one of the adjacent side members. The part of the spigot 20 which extends through the side member is riveted in place and adjacent side members welded together as at 21. A lid 15 (not shown) is held in position by means which co-operate with apertures 22 in the lugs 17. The sides may be folded up from a blank about a bottom panel 10 or made separate therefrom.
