Abstract

934,161. Sieve frames. HENRY SIMON Ltd. May 15, 1962 [June 12, 1961], No. 21093/61. Class 117. A sieve frame on which a screen 14, e.g. of woven fabric, is disposed comprises end and side channel members with the parallel webs of each member extending outwardly, at least one side and one end member having a yoke element 16 to which the screen is attached arranged in its associated channel and adjustable therein, the end members having their webs furthest from the screen arranged to interlock with those of adjacent sieve frames. The frame is a rectangular metal framework, the screen being held at one end member in a groove 13 by a bar 15 with screws (not shown). The screen is held in the opposite end member in the yoke 16 which is adjustable by manual rotation of screws 17 to regulate the tension of the screen. The side members (not shown) retain the screen in yokes as 16. Hooked flanges 9, 10 project from the end members of the frame and engage with complementary flanges on adjacent frames to prevent material passing between the frames, and to allow the frames to be withdrawn from one end of the guides in which they are supported.
