930,776. Spinning and finishing yarns. A. J. TLAMICHA. March 21, 1961 [March 25, 1960], No. 33456/62. Divided out of 930,033. Addition to 886,032 as improved upon by 930,033. Drawings to Specification. Class 120 (3). In apparatus for delustring a monofilament of synthetic material of high molecular weight e.g. a polyamide, as described in the parent Specification, the roughening body has a non- cylindrical form providing a peripheral surface of varying diameter e.g. single or double conical frustrum, cylindrical with rising flanks on both sides or of convex or concave curvature, which ensures positive and uniform twisting of the monofilament about its own longitudinal axis as it passes obliquely over the rotating body, Figs. 3-8 (not shown).
