Abstract

901,411. Ring-spinning apparatus. ONDERZOEKINGSINSTITUUT RESEARCH N.V. Sept. 20, 1960 [Sept. 26, 1959], No. 32322/60. Class 120 (2). In ring-spinning apparatus of the kind in which the yarn is led through a topeyelet to a traveller on a ring of which the axis is at an angle to that of the spindle, the ring being traversed along the spindle, the eyelet and the ring are so arranged that the length of yarn between the eyelet and the package remains constant during a complete passage of the traveller around the ring. In the form shown, where the spindle is vertical and the ring inclined and traversed along the spindle axis, the eyelet 15 is disposed on the axis of the ring and is traversed with the ring. If the eyelet is not traversed with the ring, it may be traversed horizontally so that it remains on the ring axis while the ring moves. In other forms, the eyelet is on the spindle axis and the ring is mounted eccentrically with respect to the spindle, or constructed as an ellipse of which the opening appears more or less as a circle when viewed in the direction of the spindle axis.
