929,850. Yarn guides and tensioners. H. STANIER. April 17, 1962 [April 28, 1961], No. 15381/61. Class 120 (2). A yarn guide comprises a hollow guide post 4 and a pillar secured to a base and arranged to grip the post resiliently. The guide may form part of the disc tensioner shown, the post comprising a ceramic cylinder 4 force-fitted over a bifurcated pillar 9 which may be of brass or of sheet metal connected to a base member 6 by a nut on a threaded shank 10. The shank extends through a slot in the base to allow the guide &c. to be moved relatively to the base and ribs 14 prevent the nut rotating. A nylon bushing 16 may be provided between the upper disc 2 and the post. Specification 892,912 is referred to.
