Abstract

922,188. Stoppers. KORKENFABRIK FRIEDRICH SANNER INH OTTO SANNER G.m.b.H. July 3, 1959 [July 3, 1958], No. 22910/59. Class 125(3). A power stopper comprises a plug 2, a spout 6<SP>1</SP> slidable between limiting flanges 7 and 6<SP>111</SP> in an aperture 5 in the plug, a screw cap 12 and a disc 11 inserted inside the screw cap and which has projections 10 and 24 which serve to push the spout in when the cap is screwed on and to grip the spout to pull it out when the cap is screwed off. The plug 2 has sealing ribs 20 which engage the spout, sealing ribs 4 which engage the neck of the bottle and a flange 3 thick enough to limit the entry of the plug into the neck but not strong enough to enable the plug to be withdrawn therefrom. An air vent 21 may be incorporated in the spout, the annular portion 10 projecting from the disc may be slit along its length and the screw cap is of the tear-off' type with tearoff ring 12.
