918,114. Seats; resilient mountings. BREMSHEY, F., and FULLING, W. Feb. 22, 1961 [April 28, 1960], No. 6499/61. Classes 52 (1) end 52 (2). A vehicle seat has a frame 1 forming a carrier for a seat cushion 2 and back 3 and mounted on parallel links 6, 7 pivotable in bearings 9, 10 in a base 8 and a hydraulic shock-absorber 18 with coil springs 19, 20 is mounted on a crosspiece 15 and carries at its lower end a fork 21 between the arms of which a lever 23, pivoted at 22 to the base 8, engages. The lever 23 bears against a roller 26 on frame 1. A cross pin connecting the arms of the fork 21 engages one of a number of notches 25 on lever 23. Height of the seat under a particular load can be adjusted by a nut 17 and the unoccupied seat can be swung forward until link 7 meets a stop 27. The back of the seat is pivoted at 4 and can be angularly adjusted by means of notched rack 5.
