Class 52(2) A vehicle seat has a fixed seat frame 1, 3 and an angularly adjustable back frame comprising a back rest portion 5 and forwardly projecting side members 9, the back frame being pivoted to the seat 'frame at 7, and adjusted by a spindle 12 supported on the seat frame and carrying cam surfaces bearing against the side members 9. The members 9 are connected to the seat frame by a spring 19.
