Abstract

755,171. Seats. MASUCH, O. Aug. 10, 1954 [Aug. 11, 1953 ; April 23, 1954], No. 23265/54. Classes 52(1) and 52(2). A tractor seat 1 mounted so as to be rockable sideways about a longitudinal axis X has a concave carrier plate 2 forming two guide surfaces for rollers 3, 3<SP>1</SP> fastened to the underside of the seat 1 and pressed against the plate by springs 7 which provide frictional resistance to damp free oscillation. In a modification (Fig. 4) the seat has one set of rollers and is supported by a pivot pin 9 in a bearing 8 on a member 2<SP>1</SP> behind the seat. The assembly is mounted on a rod 5 resiliently supported by a spring 6 or the plate 2 may be constituted by a leaf spring.
