915,905. Tubular heat exchangers. LICENCIA TALALMANYOKAT ERTEKESITO VALLALAT. May 3, 1960 [May 15, 1959], No. 15509/60. Class 64 (3). In a heat exchanger in which a header box 2 is divided by a partition 3 into inlet and outlet chambers 7, 8 for water flowing through the heat exchange tubes 1, a rubber band 5 provides a seal between the periphery of the partition and the header box. Various cross-sectional shapes for the rubber sealing band are described, all of which are said to provide that the sealing pressure increases with any increase in the pressure differential between the chambers 7, 8. In the form shown, U-shaped spacers 4 are riveted to the partition to position it within the header box.
