A heat exchanger comprises a easing 6 containing U-tubes 5, one end of each tube communicating with a header chamber 10 and the other end with a header chamber 11, the header chambers together with inlet and outlet connections 2, 3 and a dividing wall 12 between the header chambers, being formed as a one-piece cast unit. In use, hot oil at high pressure flows through the tubes and cooling water flows over the tubes in a sinuous path defined by baffles 7.
