Abstract

915,214. Endless conveyers. MINING ENGINEERING CO. Ltd. Oct. 26, 1961 [Nov. 25, 1960], No. 40530/60. Class 78(1). A self-troughing conveyer belt idler assembly comprising a central roller 11 and inclined side rollers 12 has the outer end of spindles 16 resiliently supported by rubber blocks 18 attached between V-piece 17 and plates 15. Under load the rubber blocks are deformed under shear and compression. Other embodiments (Figs. 3-7, not shown), have the spindle connected to the outer sides of the blocks, the inner sides being attached to a fixed support.
